South London songwriter otta finds herself among sounds inspired by indie, jazz, and experimental electronics. She's on a roll as of late with the arrival of her second EP Songbook, which landed on Friday (10th July). As well as dropping 'sick inside' a couple of weeks back, and new single 'three of us' a couple of days ago, she's also just released fresh single 'just like the rain', alongside a music video directed by Lara Laeverenz and otta herself. Her haunting, husky vocals that sing "just like the rain" open the song, followed by a bold, upbeat drum pattern. Otta's vocals gain a rhythmic pace, and begin to weave rhythmically around the opening loop: "nothing can keep you from yourself if you don't let yourself out".
